FS 561 Recall

STIHL is recalling a limited production range of FS 561 petrol clearing saws

STIHL is recalling the following product:

  • Gear head for and on brushcutters STIHL FS 511 / FS 561
  • Gear head with material number 4148-640-0108 and marking 4148/02 C

STIHL has detected abnormalities in the affected gear head. If the product is used with a shredder blade, it can lead to the breaking of the output shaft in the gear head. The cutting attachment could detach and pose a risk of injury to the user or bystanders. 

This affects the machines within the following serial number ranges:

Please return any machine / gear head affected by this recall, to have the gear head replaced, free of charge, at your local dealer. This replacement and any necessary repair will be free of charge for you.
