STIHL iMOW® robotic mowers offer a range of different features, though there are a few things they all have in common. They know when it is raining, calculate their own mowing plans, mow your grass automatically and most importantly give you more time to enjoy the garden. With our tips you can make the most of your garden helper and keep it at its best for a long time to come.

Installing your robot mower is not too challenging. Our guide tells you how to install the docking station and perimeter wire correctly, and offers some extra tips for getting the job right. Alternatively, your STIHL dealer will be pleased to assist you with installation.

Your iMOW® intelligently calculates its own schedule, but you can manually adjust it if necessary. Rain sensors ensure your robot mower won’t work when it’s wet, but if there are specific periods you want to exclude from its schedule, we’ve got advice on how to do that.

Cleaning your robot lawn mower

Regular cleaning is important maintenance that helps ensure your robotic mower remains fully functional. We have summarised all the main tips and tricks to make cleaning easy.

Robot lawn mower maintenance

Your robotic mower does plenty of things without help, and just a little regular maintenance work by you will help it to stay fit for purpose. You should inspect the blades once a week and check if they need cleaning, and we also recommend an annual service by your STIHL dealer.

Prepare your robot lawn mower for winter storage

You should not leave your robot mower in its docking station during the coldest part of the year. It needs a little end-of-year attention before you store it somewhere dry. Then it will be ready and raring to go next spring!
