    COMFORTABLE WORKING AND STORAGE. The comfort handlebar is only mounted on one side of the lawn mower, making it easier for you to remove the grass collection box. As the handlebar is height-adjustable, it enables you to mow your lawn comfortably and ergonomically. You can adjust it to your preferred height without using tools. As the handlebar is also foldable, the lawn mower can be compactly stored and transported.

    EASY EMPTYING. Your lawn mower is equipped with a folding grass collection box to make emptying clippings very straightforward. The fill-level indicator signals the right time for emptying. An airstream ensures dense filling while mowing, so you can make optimum use of the full volume of the box. The slats on the side of the box direct the air towards the ground, which protects you from dirt being swirled up.

    RMA 253 cordless lawn mower: 51 cm / 20" push-along lawn mower for homeowners

    The RMA 253 from STIHL is a battery-powered push-along lawn mower designed for entry-level users looking to cut small to medium-sized lawns at home. Part of a new range of 2 Series battery-powered lawn mowers, it’s a lightweight and quiet mower that is fitted with innovative key features that make this the ideal choice for home gardeners.

    This lawn mower is built with a sheet steel deck, has a 51 cm / 20" cutting width and single point height adjustment that is adjustable between 20 – 100 mm. The RMA 253 is part of the AK System range of tools and is powered by an AK 30 S battery that is interchangeable with other machines across the range. There are two slots in the powerhead for two AK batteries, so when the first runs out of power you can quickly switch to the second. On a full charge with the recommended AK 30 S battery you will be able to mow lawns up to 275 m2.

    The RMA 253 has 4 different ways of mowing. No additional tools are required but we do recommend you refer to the owner’s manual before working. You can either:

    • Cut & collect with the grass catcher box fitted
    • Cut & drop by removing the grass catcher box
    • Side discharge with the flap that is integrated into the deck
    • Mulch with the multi-blade and mulching attachment

    The comfort mono-handlebar allows easy access to the grass catcher box, making it easier to remove and empty when it’s full – plus, thanks to the fill level indicator on the grass catcher box you’ll know exactly when to empty the box too! The 55-litre grass catcher box is ergonomically designed and easy to fully open for fast emptying. The sturdy mono-handlebar is height adjustable and foldable for compact storage after use. The mono-handlebar has a 10-year domestic warranty too.
